The Chelsea at Washington Township will offer seniors a beautiful destination for Assisted Living and Memory Care in Bergen County, located right off Pascack Road, and close to Garden State Parkway
While the community is getting ready for its grand opening in the coming months, the team continues to host events in and around the township. To get a glimpse of what’s to come, they are always available to chat at the community’s leasing center inside the Washington Town Center at 261B Pascack Road.
There are plenty of places to shop, eat, and visit while you’re here including Bethany Community Center, Demarest Farms, Wild Duck Pond, downtown Ridgewood, downtown Westwood and more. We’re also surrounded by many medical services and close to The Valley Hospital.

Todd serves as Executive Director of The Chelsea at Washington Township. He leads the team in all operational and business initiatives, and is responsible for maintaining high-level performance in all areas of service at Washington Township.
Todd has held various leadership roles over his 25-year career in the senior living industry, including the Executive Director for 15 years at Van Dyk Park Place Assisted Living in Hawthorne, New Jersey, and the Executive Director opening a new Assisted Living development with Atria Senior Living in New City, New York.
Throughout his career he has volunteered and served on many boards and committees nationally and locally in New Jersey. He was the past Chairman and Vice Chairman on the New Jersey Assisted Living Counsel Board and represented New Jersey as their state leader for The National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL).
He had the honor of receiving the “Excellence in Long Term Care Administration Award” from Health Care Association of New Jersey in 2018.
Todd is known for his compassionate care and resident advocacy. He is resident and team focused, maintaining best practices through personal integrity and supervising leadership.
He graduated From Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor of science in Hospitality Management. He received his New Jersey Certified Assisted Living Administrator license in 2014 and serviced as an instructor helping others earn their NJCALA.
Todd has lived in Mahwah, NJ for 25 years where he and his wife have raised their two children. He spent many years coaching both his kids in youth sports including soccer, basketball and lacrosse. Todd loves spending time with his family traveling, hiking and watching the Mets, Jets and The Ohio State University football games.
Matt is an award-winning sales and marketing leader who comes to The Chelsea at Washington Township with extensive experience as the Director of Community Relations. Under his leadership, he is responsible for developing a connection with families, residents and businesses alike, and driving the sales process.
Matt’s mission is to promote and maintain a high-quality environment, and continue to enhance the reputation of the community.
Most recently, he worked as the DCR for Atria Senior Living in New City, NY to help that community open its doors during the height of the pandemic. Despite the ongoing challenges, Matt took over 100 deposits before the community opened, reaching over 90% of occupancy.
Prior to that, he worked as the DCR for Arbor Senior Living in Mountainside. He brought the community up to budget and census.
Matt’s career in senior living started at Van Dyk Health Care. He was the head of sales and marketing for the whole campus and helped them start an Adult Day Care program. He also worked as the community’s Lifestyle Director.
Matt has a Bachelor’s Degree from Montclair State University and a Master of Religion from Liberty University. His wife, three kids, and two dogs enjoy spending time on the water. They live in Wyckoff.
